Lamb Kebab after repairing the Tandoor
Hi Nick, what thickness insulation did you use to fill the voids?
50mm. But the price has gone up a lot since I brought it, would think twice about insulating at that price.
@@SimpleNickVideos wondering if it is really necessary as the kit is supposedly “fully insulated”
UGGGGH! You were WAAAY TOO STINGY WITH THE CHEESE!!
Wow this is amazing! Just spend €20 to make one and it works like a charm, thanks so much!!
Mark Felton wants his viice back...
We have one of these, we got a thicker 1" stone and it maintains a more even temperature, and doesn't fluctuate with the fire as much.
What an excellent tip! Thanks for sharing
I got one of these and I burn it every time. How do they come out with the thicker stone? I’m thinking of doubling up mine
Your job is crap
Thanks for the helpful demonstration
Lol the tandoor is far to hot .burnt the naan lol
That is one helll of a naan.
Very helpful.
Might be a foolish question but where does the pizza go? I only see a dome oven with a fire inside, like a fireplace. Obviously there is a rack or some other means of placing the food inside
Thx for this Nick, saved me buying a new Dishwasher!
Cool, glad it helped
God blessings you saved my day
Perfect😊😊
Did you use any tools to remove the pump from the old heating element? Or just your hands? It looks like it is tightly fitted together !
Yes it was tightly fitted together, if I remember correctly I used a flat screwdriver and some grips. Then done grease when I connected it back together
Are the gaps not by design? I think that by just adding insulation like that you are going to get condensation, damp and then mould.
Yes fair comment and I have seen videos where builders have said the same thing. There is still a gap between both layers of insulation. This has been up for over two years now and no damp or mould yet. Definitely something to consider and thanks for sharing.
Many thanks for PERFECT presentation!
Thanks
next time take the glass out before you start as it will make positioning the frame far easier, the glass weighs a lot and the frame is quite light.
How do you clean out the coals? Or do you not really need to? Cheers!
Can I ask why expanding foam for the gaps? The instructions that I've seen say silicon sealant should be used. Thanks
I used a mixture of both but mainly silicon sealant. Basically I used all the stuff I had lying around rather than spending more money.
Hi Nick, really enjoyed watching your videos on the Titania office build, I’m just about to purchase the 5.5x3.5 version and I’d like to know if you think it’s worth adding in the extra insulation for the walls and floor and if so what thickness did you use?
Thanks for the feedback Neil. Now that’s a good question, I think if I was building another tomorrow I probably wouldn’t. Mainly because it comes with insulation and the price of insulation I put in has gone up a lot. I went for 50mm thickness. We have a small air conditioner/ heat pump, which heats and cools the room very quickly.
What is the cost of the building?
Check the Dunster website for latest prices. I probably wouldn’t go with the extra insulation, so the price on the website would be the price you pay
How much do they eat you back.
Nice watch!
Thanks for this video, best bit of kit I have bought for the car!
Love it, thank you!
This it not pizza 😢😂😂😂
I just totally botched my pizza tonight in this oven, searched youtube and found your video. going to try learn how to use this thing properly
Hope it went well
Saved me some £££ Great Vid
Amazing, thank you!
terrible kebab, it didn't slide off like a kebab was supposed to. This is hands down the worst kebab and naan I have ever seen in my laugh hahahaha
Thank you. Very helpful
Thanks so much! This was my first time making boba. I used Celestial Seasoning's Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea with a little bit of extra sweet n low. I'm going to give the inside of a glass a little caramel sauce swirl , pour in some homemade almond milk & add this boba😊.
What did you use for insulation ?
The package says V4 Vermiculite
Yea I did it to mine VW amarok engine light, is gone but catalytic converter light on after that. 😢😢
Thanks, I found this really useful when fixing my AEG dishwasher.
@simplenick - how to turn on this sound when you turn your key while icons flashes? Is it normal? I would like to have this while turning on my car (vw polo 9n)
Your videos are so helpful Nick - thank you so much more posting!
What I find hard to understand, are the original hinges faulty? If not that means the were installed incorrectly. If I replace with same hinges it will be the same? Here's the problem how can I tell the new hinges are going to cure the problem? Where would you get new hinges from?
U clearly have no idea what your doing. Should have sanded it down before doing anything and spread the filler all over. Should have used play spray paint so it get’s better coverage and blends in better
Hi, I've got a gap in the exact same spot, but can someone explain how this is caused by the hinge please?
thank you for a great way to carry out this task i have been putting this job off and thinking of getting someone to carry out this repair
Thanks and good luck with your repair
Straightforward! Cheers mate!
Cool and thanks for the feedback
Hi Nick, All this looks great! The videos are extremely helpful and reassuring. And we are about to order one of those garden offices (Marcus at DunsterHouse recommended your videos). I am thinking of adding the insulation like you have (and a heat-pump!) . My worry is not about the damp inside the room, but keeping the internal timbers well ventillated in out Cumbrian wet weather. Any experience/suggestions? Comments a year later? 🙂 Also, you say you used 50mm Kingspan type insulation. Do you remember the gap size? Many thanks again W.
I think the gap size was about 1 cm, enough space to run wiring. So we have had the office up for about 1 1/2 years now and not had any damp issues.
Shows How d.i.yers do it not the pros
Thanks, thought I could've switched it from the back... Swore at it a few times then found this video! Have a good day, sir! 🙌
Thanks for the feedback and I am glad you got the bulb changed
Where you get your pots from b&q if you wet the bread it won't burn
I got the pots from a local garden centre. Yes I always wet the bread now as well as the side walls, it was Cleary too hot when I cooked my first nans
With adding the extra insulation and the window, you could have done it from scratch. It wouldn't have taken much more. What's your thoughts?
Yes you make a good point and I did think of building from scratch, lots of good videos on youtube. But in the end I decided to go this way as I thought it would be easier and quicker
I need to change the hinges on a smaller window. Similar to the window on the right. How do you go about buying the correct hinges? Do they come in standard sizes.
I'm thinking of purchasing the same cabin. How is it after a year and how much of a headache was the base assembly? Great video by the way 👍
Sorry about the late reply, to be honest building the base frame was easy, just took a bit of time. As for the concreate base, made a simple frame and then got concrete delivered
